Iron Butterflies vote
When I was young, my (Shelley’s) father was a big advocate for early voting. He helped people get their absentee ballots if they were sick, frail or didn’t have transportation to the polling places in our county. And, he worked hard to push to change the state law to have more days for early voting. He taught me that voting was a right, and it was also a privilege. He was on the ballot for something for most of my childhood and young adulthood. He won some races and lost some races. But, he never lost the spirit to appreciate our right to vote. Nor, did he ever lose the passion to help others. #ironbutterfliesvote #thepoweroftheballot
